Nendrum sundial brooch

A unique handmade brooch based on the medieval sundial found at the ruins of Nendrum monastic site on the shores of Strangford Lough. 

Nendrum is a serene and beautiful place, and this brooch, with its aged fine silver, attempts to capture a trace of that timeless beauty and stillness.

The origional sundial, that you can see in the second picture, is a canonical sundial, meaning it was used to mark times of prayer, rather than hours in the day.  

Entirely handmade this brooch is attached to a sterling silver brooch back, and comes gift wrapped, and sent first class.
