The silver & gold

At Dog Star Silver, Louisa works primarily with fine and sterling silver, often utilizing Silver Clay - a magical medium that allows her to sculpt intricate, organic textures. To add warmth, she applies 24k Gold through the ancient technique of Keum Boo, fusing pure gold foil to silver using only heat and pressure.

Kinder to the Earth

Every Dog Star Silver piece is crafted using recycled silver and gold, giving new life to reclaimed precious metals. Louisa also loves using repurposed gemstones, and her work was awarded Design of the Month by Cooksongold in April 2026, in recognition of one of her sustainable designs.

The ceramic experiment

Louisa is currently exploring the use of ceramics in her designs. These earthy elements will soon be joining silver in the Dog Star collection.

One maker and one studio

There is no factory and no conveyor belt. From the first sketch to the final polish, every piece is hand-made by Louisa in her home studio. Whether it is a limited small-batch collection or a piece made to order specifically for you, each is handled with the slow, intentional care that a quirky soul deserves.
