Salmon of knowledge pendant

A unique pendant inspired by the Irish myth of the Salmon of Knowledge or An Bradán Feasa.

According to the story the first thing to come into being was a Hazel tree that contained the knowledge of all the universe. Some of its nuts fell into the River Boyne where a great speckled salmon lived, and when it ate the nuts, it inherited this knowledge. 

The patterns on the salmon are inspired by briny bubbles and tumbling waves. 

Each one is made to order just for you in Louisa's tiny home studio using a handmade, original stamp. The design is impressed onto chunky sterling silver, oxidised to highlight the textures and polished to make all the raised areas shine.
