Keum boo is an ancient Korean technique that involves fusing gold to depleted silver.
I used thick 24k gold leaf, specially made for this, and applied it using heat and pressure to sterling silver.
The silver has been oxidised to give a blackened, antique effect beside the gold.
The earrings hang from gold fill (thicker that gold plating) earwires, and the pendant comes with an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain (the style shown in the first picture)
