Some of my pieces come to life using Art Clay Silver, a wonderful material made entirely from recycled silver. The makers, Aida, collect old X-ray plates and film negatives, reclaim the silver particles and blend them with natural binders and water to create a soft, malleable clay. I can shape it by hand like modelling clay, but once it’s fired in the kiln, it transforms into solid, gleaming silver - magic!

All sheet silver, chains, and components are 100% recycled and fully traceable, carrying the same strength and beauty as freshly mined metal, but with a gentler footprint. I also love adding warmth and glow to pieces with 24k gold paste and leaf that is both recycled and conflict-free. Occasionally I will use small amounts of non-recycled silver when setting stones, but if I do, you’ll always find it mentioned in the description.
